Amunet

Cohorts are the foundational workforce of the Host. Formed with willing hearts and bound by duty, they carry out the will of the High Heavens with unwavering resolve. In the Age of Stars, those Eternals who gravitated toward service were appointed to this rank. Bearing a single pair of wings, Cohorts are the backbone of the Host — soldiers, messengers, and whatever is needed in between. They may not wield the might of an Archon or the mystery of a Principality, but their loyalty shapes the outcome of every war.

Once a Cohort of the Host, Amunet turned toward the Guest for reasons the records no longer preserve. What remains is what the Well left behind. His skin has hardened into dark, scaled hide, thick and heavy, close kin to the crocodiles that once haunted the Nile's darker waters.

His right arm — or what was once his right arm — is gone, replaced by a grotesque knot of fused limbs, each bearing its own hand, its own fingers, twisting like a nest of serpents that never sleeps. The hands flex on their own now. Amunet no longer commands the mass. It commands itself. A ruin that will not fall. A warning the Guest wear on purpose.
